The City Council Parks Dept. have recently surveyed the trees in Bury Knowle, They are planning to undertake some tree works within the park and the surrounding area.
The majority of work will be carried out within the next 6 months with minimum disruption to the park and its users.
The two Scots pines (489,490) in the play area will be removed in the next month and this will require the temporary closure of the play area.
For trees that are removed, they will replant in the park in the next planting season which is from Oct/Nov 2016 to Feb/Mar 2017. The trees will not necessarily be replanted in the same place of the ones removed.
